Financial donations may be designated to the following funding areas, or call us and we can discuss creating a fund for your area of passion.

Programs

We realize that is is much less costly to stabilize families by assisting w/ utilities and rent during a difficult time, than to allow a family to loose their housing and belongings to homelessness. Over 2,000 families were assisted in preventing homelessness.

23% of Nevada children are being reared by heads of households without a high school education; the 4th highest percentage in the US.  Nevada - not by coincidence - has the highest dropout rate amoung teens at 11% annually.  HACA has long sought to break the cycle of poverty though educational programs.

Organizational leadership expenses (administration)

These expenses are less than 9% of HACA’s total budget of $1.2 million, meaning 91 ¢ of every incoming dollar goes directly to client services.

    1. facility expenses such as electricity, phone, computers, insurance
    2. fundraising expenses
    3. staff training and education

HACA Endowment Fund

The endowment was established to provide for the ongoing success of HACA in future years.  This fund creates an annual expendable interest account, but the principal remains in perpetuity.

Be a HACA 100 Club hero by making a monthly contribution.  The giving process can be facilitated through monthly electronic funds transfers, in amounts from $100 to $500.  Click here to view the donation form.

Join the Circle of Hope with a $10,000 gift.  Giving at the HACA Gold Circle Level can help a mother transitioning out of a homeless situation to secure housing, utility deposits, food, clothing, child care, and public transportation to and from work.  A three month period of assistance can make all the difference in the world for a single mother working towards self-sufficiency.  She gains confidence in her abilities to provide for her family and gives the children the security that comes with home, school and community.

Change a multitude of lives with a gift of $25,000 or more.  Giving at the HACA Platinum Level Patron can help begin a new intervention program.  In a situation where the sole provider for the family works and no child care is available, often the eldest child must miss out on school to take on the role of caregiver for younger siblings to ensure the family income.  This represents an extraordinary cost to society.  Alternatives can be taught when a multi-disciplinary team approach is provided to these families in need.  By donating at the Platinum level, you can give rise to a life-changing program.
