What does HACA - FRC stand for?
HACA is the acronym for Henderson Allied Community Advocates – Family Resource Center.  A Family Resource Center is a state awarded designation which ensures that certain human services are provided to persons living within specific zip code areas. 

How long has HACA been around?
HACA has been in existence since 1991.  It was awarded its 501(c)(3) status in 1994, and its Family Resource Center designation in 1997. 

How is HACA funded?
The agency receives approximately 91% of its annual budget from city, county, state, and federal grant awards.  Currently 15% is derived from the gracious generosity of corporate and individual donors through gifts and special events.

How much money goes to client services?
Approximately 89% of all incoming funds go directly to client services, which includes salaries for those caseworkers that service these clients.  The guideline for administrative costs for not-for-profit organizations is suggested to not exceed 25%; HACA has maintained a 9% to 11% average for the past 5 years.

What does HACA do?
HACA provides temporary assistance to those who may need a helping hand.  It is the mission of HACA to assist people in becoming self-sustaining and to build skill sets so they are not at risk of homelessness with each potential crisis.  Breaking the cycle of poverty through education and future planning is the goal with every family assisted at HACA.
